Holiday home with character central to many activities and beautiful scenery.

This charming Betws-y-Coed cottage is a lovely, traditional holiday home for guests to enjoy at any time of the year. The view at the head of these pages is the view from the top of the garden.

Located in the peaceful village of Capel Garmon 2.5 miles from Betws-y-Coed, the cottage is an ideal base for exploring all that Snowdonia has to offer.

The house is owned by three generations of one family who love their home from home which tempts them away from the rigours of busy day to day life. The spaciousness, the views, the area, the nearby activities and the welcoming village make it all so easy to keep coming back again and again. We, the owners, use the house frequently for family holidays (bringing many of our friends along as well) enjoying all that the area has to offer and are keen for others to experience the same.

Converted partly from an 1850s village shop, the cottage sits in a quiet position and has four spacious bedrooms, one even boasting an en-suite bathroom, making it an ideal cottage for any group. Comfortably furnished to make it warm and welcoming, and exude charm with a combination of original beams, high ceilings and a (family favourite) woodburner that sits neatly in an inglenook stone fireplace. After a long walk in the hills their is nothing better than a hot tea (or toddy) and ginger biscuits warmed further by the glow of a real fire.  There is a well-equipped farmhouse kitchen with a dining area, a cosy sitting room plus a second sitting room that offers additional space for larger groups and a single sofa bed for flexibility.

The rear garden, with its stunning views across Snowdonia, is a wonderful spot for alfresco dining on warm, summer evenings; sitting in the summer house; fire up the barbecue for a tasty tea, or light the chimnea and relax by its glow under the stars.

You can experience the deep silence and darkness at night free from light and noise pollution yet you will be only a few miles from the town of LLanrwst or Betws-y-Coed.

With its central location in Snowdonia, this Capel Garmon cottage is the ideal base for outdoor enthusiasts, offering many walks from the doorstep.  Betws-y-Coed is within easy reach and has a good number of pubs and restaurants for guests to enjoy.

The peaks of Snowdonia offer adventure parks, mountain biking, climbing and watersports, all within a beautiful setting, just a short drive away.  The beaches of north Wales and Anglesey are a must for the bucket and spade family days.

Our charming Betws-y-Coed cottage is a lovely, traditional cottage for guests to enjoy at any time of the year.

We look forward to sharing Snowdonia with you at Arwel.
